We are Wix's Backend Engineering Guild. We provide integrated tools for microservice development within Wix to help improve developer productivity and best practices. These tools streamline the development process and reduce cognitive load, allowing Wix Engineers to concentrate on their domain, architecture, and business logic. To handle high-scale traffic (over 500B HTTP requests per day) and 500+ daily deployments, our team of 500 Backend Engineers runs production across 19 distributed data centers and cloud vendors worldwide.

As a Software Engineer - Team Lead, you'll play a key role in building and evolving the core platform for a new AI-powered insights product. Youll lead a team of developers while driving architectural decisions and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless user experiences. In your day-to-day, you will:
Lead a team of developers, both backend and frontend execution and monitoring

As a Backend Engineer, youll join a growing global team at Wix, shaping the future of eCommerce. Youll develop and maintain the core selling and order management capabilities for all Wix verticals. Build and maintain backend systems to process 1.5 million API requests and 400,000 events per minute
Design, implement, and optimize scalable and resilient systems with an API-first approach

As a Backend Developer on Wix's Document Management team, youll be at the core of our Editor platform, where you'll build and maintain the scalable backend systems that power 192+ million users' websites. In your day-to-day you will:

Develop and maintain highly scalable backend systems supporting 192+ million users across multiple Editor types
Create and optimize JSON definitions that power live site rendering and user experiences
Build robust business logic solutions for all Wix editor functionalities and workflows
Design and expose APIs to verticals and editors for seamless document manipulation
Implement high RPM services while managing complex CPU and memory optimization requirements
Deploy production-ready code daily using Node.js, Scala, and serverless architectures

As a Backend Engineer in the Production Development team, youll build internal products and backend platforms that power how Wix operates and evolves its production environment. Youll design systems that make managing production safe, transparent, and efficient, helping engineers deliver with confidence and speed.
In your day-to-day, you will:

Build scalable backend platforms that manage and validate production and infrastructure changes
Design systems for safe rollout, rollback, and recovery across large-scale environments
