This role will report to R&D Director.

Our R&D team transforms petabytes of data into digital insights for our customers, on a daily basis. This means that we are always on the lookout for new ways to make those processes more efficient, reliable, and scalable and make our big data engineers more professional.

We are looking for a Data Architect to define the optimal way of processing data, design and lead complex data architecture solutions within our group and with our R&D partners and interfaces, be part of a team of principle engineers that provides guidance and mentoring to all of our group engineers, conduct POCs on cutting edge technologies to improve our infrastructure, leading cross group infrastructure features, and be the focal for architecture solution with other groups architects.

You will impact the work of dozens of engineers and data scientists in Similarweb, by defining and implementing most suitable ways of data processing and influence our customers by providing top notch infrastructure for a flawless data delivery.

Your role as Data Architect means your daily responsibilities may include:

Define and implement standards and best practices for data engineering teams
Lead improvements to our data processing infrastructure
Research, POC and implement new data technologies
Improve our Data Lake
Mentor data processing and data delivery teams
Design and lead complex data architecture within the group and with our r&d partners

Responsibilities
Build and manage a team of security researchers tasked with helping Microsoft engineers ship the most secure product and infrastructure possible.
Manage the work of a security research team across multiple concurrent projects.
Be a subject matter expert, leveraging a broad and current understanding of security to devise new protections and exploit mitigations.
Collaborate with other security and product teams to improve security, and articulate the business value of security investments for designing and developing new security mitigations and defenses.
Identify security vulnerabilities in a wide variety of key services across Azure services, network protocols and architecture.
Interaction with the security ecosystem in and outside of Microsoft.

The File Solutions team provides a set of fully managed file services for Enterprise and HPC and AI/ML customers addressing workloads (e.g., SAP, GKE applications, etc.). The team facilitates seamless migration to cloud, hybrid cloud solutions, and seamless integration with other File solutions and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) solutions and services.

The team's goal is to be the authoritative one stop shop for all file solutions in GCP, serving large-scale strategic customers and managing customer data, while maintaining the highest performance, scale, reliability, usability, quality, and observability as well as ownership of the whole file portfolio, whether built from the ground up internally or via integration with third-party and open source technologies.

Responsibilities
Drive the technical decision making and prioritization across File Solutions integration with external/internal products (e.g., Filestore, NetApp, PFS/DAOS) and infras to create a superb experience to our customers covering all the workloads and needs.
Guide a team of engineers based in India, Tel Aviv, and Kirkland through technical design directions for creating the best file solutions for our customers achieving high quality, reliability, and development velocity.
Collaborate with engineering and product leadership on setting priorities and building strategic roadmap as well as multiple local and remote teams serving the product portfolio (e.g., UX, UI etc.).
Build relationships, and collaborate with and work closely with various Developer partners and external companies we integrate with to create the best solution including all the technical aspects.
