Key Responsibilities
Translate ambiguous product or business challenges into well-defined data science problems
Research and prototype cutting-edge AI techniques (LLMs, RAG, knowledge graphs, etc.)
Design and implement data-driven algorithms, analyze data, build and evaluate models
Collaborate with engineering to deploy scalable, production-ready solutions
Work with product teams to align AI solutions with user needs and business goals
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers, product managers, and fellow scientists to bring research into production and deliver measurable impact
Stay current with advancements in AI/ML and generative AI, and actively contribute to innovation within the team and broader organization

Our Data Science team leads data-driven decisions across Waze's core functional areas, including the Waze Map and Map Editor, Advanced Guidance and Voices, Growth and Strategy, User Communications and more. The team members are embedded within the Waze development Squads. We define data requirements and analytics strategies, execute experiments, deliver in-depth analyses and provide actionable recommendations. The teams contribution is crucial for the effective development and safe landing of the new Waze features and help guiding the overall product strategy.

We are responsible for the research and development of advanced experimentation and Causal Analysis infrastructures to measure, understand and attribute features impact. We also own a comprehensive Data Warehouse, providing essential dashboards and analytics tools, including Gen-AI agents, to empower both Data Scientists and stakeholders throughout the organization.

Responsibilities
Develop and implement Measurement Methodologies and Evaluation Frameworks. Assess the performance, accuracy and groundedness of AI Agents, including the automated generation of synthetic training and evaluation data.
Work with various teams including software developers, data engineers and product managers, to define the requirements and implement Gen-AI models and solutions to drive innovation.
Translate complex technical concepts and investigative findings into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Lead the design, development and deployment of Generative AI Agents for conversational driving-related experiences and scaling the ingestion, annotation and utilization of user generated contect and geospatial data feeds.

SuperSonic is looking for a passionate Senior Data Scientist to develop and deploy sophisticated user-level models and real-time online learning systems. In this role, you'll work end-to-end on building personalized predictive models that adapt as user behavior evolves, enabling dynamic decision-making. Your work will directly impact user experience, drive revenue growth, and enhance data-driven decision making across the organization by transforming how we understand and respond to individual user patterns in real time. You will be handed with a business problem and will be asked to provide an end to end solution - Unpack and thoroughly understand the business problem, define the strategy to deal with it and research, develop & deploy your solution along with relevant support.
