Check Point is looking for a promising and brilliant Hands-on Cloud Development Team Leader for Avanan!
As a cloud development team leader, You will develop hands-on and be in-charge of developing software serving large-scale high velocity systems.
Affecting thousands of organizations, and millions of end-users, analysing billions of messages.
The domain you will tackle will involve cutting-edge cybersecurity cloud solutions, like phishing, impersonation, anomaly detection, and more.
Alongside with large-scale multi-threaded processing in a rich AWS microservices mesh multi-region architecture.
All solutions are implemented with the latest AWS tools and managed services such as Aurora RDS, Athena, Kinesis, Kafka, SQS, Elastic Search, ElasticCache, DynamoDB, Neptune and many more.
You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing robust and cost-effective email security solutions, protecting from email threats, data breaches, and phishing attacks.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including IT security, cost and financing, Dev-ops, and various development teams within the group and within Check Point to ensure the highest level of email security and integrity.
You will manage recruit and mentor developers from all levels, either on site or remote contractors.
Key Responsibilities
Review and develop online mass scale cloud security processing and security infrastructure.
Architect, design, configure and maintain infrastructure, including secure email gateways, mail servers, email filters, authentication mechanisms and encryption.
Ensure the seamless integration of email security solutions with existing systems and applications.
Manage cost, cost monitoring and cost reduction efforts on AWS cloud implementation, and newly created services and tools.
Manage internal and external Security, Threat Assessment and Vulnerability Management: Continuously monitor and react to new vulnerabilities as reported.
Assure Collaboration, Mentoring and Training: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as IT, legal, and compliance, to ensure requirements are met.
Recruit and Provide technical training and mentoring to educate employees on security, development and cloud systems implementation best practices.
Follow industry Trends and updates: Stay tuned for emerging security changes and technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
Alongside changes Microsoft and Google introduce to collaboration SaaS services ensuring all systems remain compliant and relevant.
Requirements: 8+ years of experience building high availability, high performance, high-volume, scalable cloud-based systems.
8+ years building and managing development teams, recruiting mentoring and developing developers of all levels.
5+ years of programming experience using Python and additional high-level programming language
5+ years of Hands-On deep experience with AWS and its managed services (including AWS cost management)
Familiarity with container technologies (Docker).
Track record of designing and building major components of a large-scale cloud solution.
Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, performance optimization techniques, and multithreaded programming.
In-depth understanding of running production service with 24/7 support and monitoring.
Excellent communication skills and a genuine interest in working and mentoring others.
Degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or relevant army service experience.
Advantages:

Knowledge in PostgreSQL/ElasticSearch/Redis/DynamoDB/Kafka.
Knowledge in ECS/EKS or equivalent.
Knowledge of email protocols (SMTP, POP3, IMAP), email delivery mechanisms, email security concepts such as SPF, DKIM, and DMARC
Deep understanding of security/encryption mechanisms.
