Overall Purpose: Lead and supervise a team of professionals who define and drive the technical product vision, roadmap, and execution by collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with market demands, and delivering customer-centric software solutions that meet business objectives.
Key Roles and Responsibilities: Typical tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Technical Product Vision and Strategy: Develop product vision and strategy by understanding customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape.
Roadmap Planning and Stakeholder Collaboration: Define and prioritize the product roadmap through collaboration with cross-functional teams, including business, architecture, UX, and other product managers.
Product Development and Requirements Management: Guide product development by detailing software product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria, and support trade-off discussions and negotiations.
Customer-Centric Product Management: Ensure product viability and alignment with business goals by monitoring performance, serving as the voice of the customer, and ensuring a high-quality user experience.
Sprint Planning and Subject Matter Expertise: Participate in sprint planning, support feature refinement, and act as a subject matter expert within the organization for assigned products or product lines.
Job Contribution: Oversees operational aspects of the department, focusing on the day-to-day management of related initiatives. This role is primarily concerned with the implementation and execution of strategies developed by higher management. Typically leads entry-level and career-level staff within the organization. Requirements: Education/Experience: Bachelors degree (BS/BA) desired in Computer Science. 5+ years of related experience.
