We are seeking an experienced Optical Systems Engineer to take responsibility for the design, development, and optimization of a unique multi-spectral camera system used for chemical material identification in clinical applications.
The role involves working with image sensors, optics, image processing algorithms, system integration, and manufacturing processes to deliver high-quality imaging performance that meets clinical trial requirements.
You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including optics, mechanics, and software.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer with proven experience in developing and manufacturing custom optical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and development of camera systems, including sensor, lens, and optical component selection and configuration.
Work across the entire imaging chain from light capture to image signal processing
Requirements: B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in camera system design and development.
Strong understanding of image processing, optics, and sensor technologies.
Proficiency in C ++ / Python.
Experience working with Image Signal Processors (ISPs) and related tools.
Experience in building and integrating custom optical systems.
Strong Advantage:
Knowledge of color science and color management systems.
Experience with camera calibration techniques and tools.
Familiarity with mobile camera systems and their challenges.
Understanding of relevant standards and regulations (e.g., MIPI, EMVA1288).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience with Agile methodologies and version control tools (Git).
