Techmer a subsidiary of the MER Group, a leading company in the development and production of advanced communication systems focused on a tactical military network, requires an experienced and professional software QA person to perform manual tests for communication systems that include radio, audio, gateways, and various types of terminals.
Position includes:
Creating testing procedures to evaluate the performance of the software
Building software testing programs that automate testing processes
Running the software testing procedures to evaluate the software
Documenting all testing procedures
Reporting bugs and making recommendations to improve the software product
Collaborating with other TEST Engineers, Software Programmers and other team members
Retesting software after bugs are fixed to ensure the program works properly
Attending meetings with the development team
Requirements: Education: Formal education in engineering or equivalent field.
- Background in communication systems from the Army and/ or courses and/ or academics- a must
- Knowledge of TCP/IP protocols (TCP, UDP, RTP) and network analysis tools- a must
- 1+ year experience in Manual Testing must
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Knowledge of radio communication or satellite communication - an advantage
Understanding of IT systems - an advantage
Experience with automation tools an advantage
