A start-up company that has developed a medical product for use by the security and rescue forces seeks an NPI Engineer who will be responsible for design manufacturing and design transfer of products and processes to manufacturers and escorting product manufacturing by its suppliers.
Responsibilities:
- Escorting new product processes from the conception stage, through prototyping & product launch to mass production.
- Leading DFx and ATP processes.
- Defining operation specifications related to the acceptance of the product, together with R&D.
- Ensuring product quality in a high-volume production environment, including control to ensure quick feedback.
- Performing technical analysis, feasibility case studies and creating a cause-effect matrix connecting the final product performance characteristics with the upstream manufacturing activities (in-house and at vendors site).
- Act as the contact point to Xmetix suppliers escort the manufacturing process and be their sole contact point regarding technical topics
- Design and lead the design of tools and jigs required for efficient and repeatable product manufacturing.
Requirements: - B.Sc. in Mechanical or MechanoElectronics Engineering.
- 3-5 years of proven experience as an NPI.
- Experience in building production files and leading ECR/ECO processes.
- Familiar with manufacturing technologies (sheet metal, machining, plastics, casting etc.).
- In-depth understanding of NPI strategy and objectives, including timelines for delivery of new products to sites.
- Experience working in a regulated industry strong advantage.
- Experience working with CAD systems (SolidWorks, Creo) strong
advantage.
