Were looking for an Experienced Backend/Data Engineer to take an important part in SimilarWebs data extraction team and play a key role in our growing data acquisition operation.

This role will report to Team manager- R&D.

Backend engineers on Data-Extraction are responsible for

Scraping - Building and maintaining high scale web-scraping operations.
Processing - Creating complex data pipelines that process and enrich our raw data and serve it to different consumers through various databases and data-lakes.
Engineering - Designing and building large scale, high quality systems to support our data infrastructure and production systems
As a Data-Server Engineer in Data Extraction you will:

Write complex PySpark applications that process, manipulate and validate large datasets, in high quality and under strict SLA.
Develop dockerized high performance microservices.
Take a major part in designing and implementing complex high scale systems using a large variety of technologies.
Work in a team with talented and independent engineers with whom youll be able to share knowledge and expertise.
learn new technologies, handle a multitude of systems.
Implement solutions in AWS cloud environment.
Take part in monitoring and debugging data pipelines and high scale services in order to identify and fix bottlenecks and failures.

Check Point Harmony Email Security and Collaboration (Previously AVANAN) is a unique email solution that fully secures cloud email and cloud platforms using AI.

As a Cloud Back-End Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining exciting security products for Avanans customers. Our production environment is a fast-paced, agile development cloud environment - handling tens of millions of transactions daily.

You will develop software serving large scale production real-time multi-tenant environment, handling large quantities of data, using microservices architecture and design patterns.

The domain you will tackle will involve cutting edge cybersecurity cloud solutions, like phishing, impersonation, anomaly detection, and more. All are implemented with the latest AWS tools and managed services such as Elastic Container Services, Kinesis, DynamoDB, SQS, Opensearch, ElasticCache, Iceberg, and many more. You will design and develop high impact real-time components and take ownership of the end-to-end solution.

Responsibilities
Participate in the agile feature/product design process working with cross-functional teams
Design, implement and enhance services at large scale as part of the sales product, enabling various customers use cases. E2E responsibilities including technical documentation and automation tests.
Production support involved with monitoring production systems and remediating issues
Strong leadership and communication skills (Hebrew and English), and ability to work well in a team. Collaborate with other engineers to share best practices and knowledge of emerging technologies
Engage with customers to get a first-hand understanding of their needs
Perform and participate in peer code reviews
