Responsibilities

You will seek to improve performance by refactoring existing services and flows
You will mentor more junior team members and help them learn and progress professionally.
You will collaborate with various stakeholders - product management, analysts, data engineers, customer success, and more.
You will contribute by owning the designing and implementing new features and enhancements and represent the team in the technical aspect during discussions and architecture roundtables
You will be hands-on, 70 - 80% coding
You will serve as the immediate go-to person within the team for any tech-related issue or discussion

Job Overview
Intuit is seeking a Backend Software Engineer 2 to join our team. As a Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining services in Intuit Data Exchange platform.

Our teams are responsible for acquiring millions of transactions and statements daily to meet the needs of our customers across all Intuit products. You'll utilize your skills to help develop and maintain critical systems in cloud environments that are widely used by both internal and external customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in back-end, with strong proficiency in Java.
Responsibilities

Design and implement new services, features and enhancements, contributing to our high-scale tools and services.
Collaborate with various stakeholders, including product management, analysts, and data engineers.
Develop well-architected, elegant software solutions with a passion for excellence.
Perform and Participate in peer code reviews. Provide and receive constructive feedback.
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends

As a Senior Staff SW Engineer on the Data Exchange team, you will:

Lead and apply best practices in SW engineering Project lifecycle management: scoping, data preparation, deployment, and monitoring
Collaborate widely: Work cross-functionally with product managers, data scientists, backend engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver intuitive, customer-focused applications.
Be expected to help architect, integrate, optimize, deploy, and code high-scale resilient services
Contribute from your experience and mentor engineers in the group and improve overall productivity and quality of solutions.

Responsibilities

Design and Build scalable solutions: architect, implement and integrate, and optimize production Backend services and pipelines systems at high scale.
End-to-End solutions Ownership: Manage the entire Product lifecyclefrom problem definition and distributed feature engineering, through model development, deployment, and ongoing monitoring.
Cross-Functional Partnership: Partner with product, analytics, and engineering teams to translate business needs into a working engineering solutions.
Innovation & Exploration: Stay abreast of and experiment with the latest developments in the industry to bring customer value, by utilizing latest technologies and GenAI solutions.
Ensure high performance, scalability, and resilience of deployed solutions.
