Job Overview
Come join the Intuit team as a Staff Data Science/MLEngineer.

Our Data Exchange group is responsible for acquiring millions of transactions and statements a day to satisfy our customers needs in all Intuit products.

You will utilize your skills to help develop and maintain machine learning models, using both analytical algorithms and deep learning approaches, that will be leveraged by critical backend systems of Intuits Data Acquisition Platform.

In this role, you will:

Lead and apply best practices in ML Project lifecycle management: scoping, data preparation, deployment, and monitoring
Collaborate with multiple teams at Intuit and contribute to components in different business units. We love engineers who lead the change, communicate with customers, and deliver the most beautiful and intuitive applications
Be expected to help architect, integrate, optimize, deploy, and code data pipelines and ML models at scale using the latest industry tools and techniques

Responsibilities
Design and build systems, which improve machine learning scalability, usability, and performance
Own end-to-end model development lifecycle, including defining problems, featurization in distributed process systems, model exploration, and development, deployment, and model performance monitoring
Collaborate with stakeholders to define success criteria and align model metrics with business goals
Work side-by-side with product managers, business analytics, data scientists, and backend engineers in enabling AI solutions for business use cases
Explore the state-of-the-art technologies and apply them to deliver customer benefits.

What You Will Do
As a Software Engineer in the Traffic Insights team, you will:

Design, develop, and maintain backend services in Java and agent-side code in Go to enhance network visibility, prediction and troubleshooting capabilities.
Work on the design and implementation of sophisticated features, including high-performance message handling, memory optimization, and database efficiency.
Develop scalable and efficient software solutions to support Traffic Insights, a rapidly growing product in ThousandEyes, helping customers with capacity planning, problem prediction, and network assurance.
Optimize system performance, ensuring reliability, scalability, and efficiency in handling large-scale network data.
Collaborate with multi-functional teams to integrate advanced network analytics into Ciscos network assurance and visibility solutions.
Improve the efficiency of data storage and retrieval mechanisms to handle vast amounts of traffic data.

Key Responsibilities
Translate ambiguous product or business challenges into well-defined data science problems
Research and prototype cutting-edge AI techniques (LLMs, RAG, knowledge graphs, etc.)
Design and implement data-driven algorithms, analyze data, build and evaluate models
Collaborate with engineering to deploy scalable, production-ready solutions
Work with product teams to align AI solutions with user needs and business goals

You will also be responsible for designing, developing, and executing performance testing strategies for our cybersecurity solutions to ensure optimal performance and scalability. You will collaborate with development teams to identify performance requirements for new features and releases, and work with them to ensure that performance issues are addressed before they impact our customers. The successful candidate will have a strong technical automation background, experience with performance testing tools and methodologies, and a passion for delivering high-quality software. Key Responsibilities
Create and maintain automation frameworks for the R&D products
Design, automate and implement test cases for a variety of products, using the latest technologies on the market
Develop and apply integrated testing processes for new and existing products, using the latest tools and technology
Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
Use different testing techniques and test-driven development strategies
Work hand-in-hand with manual QA to learn about the system and find ways to improve the automation flows
Creating testing tools to improve our QA capabilities
Build load and performance testing frameworks
Identify key KPIs for product quality
Challenge our methodologies and tools and strive to continuously improve
Monitor and analyze performance metrics to proactively identify potential issues
Experience with working and configure monitoring tools such as DataDog Grafana Etc.
