We are looking for a FinOps Engineer with 35 years of experience, primarily focused on Microsoft Azure. This role is central to driving cloud financial accountability across multiple product teams - ensuring cost efficiency, optimizing cloud usage, and aligning spend with business goals. Experience with AWS and GCP is a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with product teams to plan, implement, and track cost optimization initiatives.
Monitor and analyze actual cloud spend vs. budget, providing actionable insights.
Conduct FinOps assessments for assigned teams and lead the adoption of FinOps practices.
Manage and optimize Azure Saving Plans and Reserved Instances (RIs).
Provide clear visibility into cloud costs, usage trends, and savings opportunities.
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to communicate financial performance and forecasts.
Partner with engineering, finance, and procurement to align cloud usage with business objectives.
Stay up to date with cloud pricing models, FinOps frameworks, and tooling.
Requirements: 35 years of hands-on experience in cloud cost management, preferably in Azure.
Familiarity with AWS and GCP cost structures and optimization techniques.
Strong understanding of FinOps principles, cloud billing, and budgeting.
Experience working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in cost analysis tools, cloud provider consoles, and reporting platforms.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to drive change and promote a FinOps culture across teams.
