We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a strong background in modern web technologies to play a crucial role in shaping the future of Wixs frontend architecture. In this role, you will develop high-performance, scalable, and maintainable web applications for rendering sites on our next-generation platform. A key aspect of this role is to leverage emerging technologies, including AI, to enhance both engineering productivity and the AI-driven optimization of platform output. In your day-to-day you will:

Impact hundreds of millions of users with our platform that is responsible for rendering all Wix users' websites

Design, develop and maintain scalable and performant web applications

Explore and integrate AI tools to streamline development, automate tasks and improve code quality

Research and implement cutting-edge web technologies, with a focus on solutions to boost performance, scalability, maintainability, and AI-driven output optimization

Contribute to the development of our next-generation web platform, focusing on building an architecture that effectively supports advanced technologies

Building Wixs 3000 microservices and 32M lines of code requires high-scale CI/CD. Bazel is our build tool of choice and we front its Scala integration and work on building additional sophisticated features, world-class pipelines, and highly scalable services to support them. We do hardcore backend engineering and specialize in Bazel, its tooling, and integrations.
We also work closely with the developers at Wix to improve their day-to-day experience and eliminate velocity killers, from their IDE to GA.

As an engineer in the Bazel team, youll:

Build and maintain tooling that helps our developers build and deliver code faster

Build, and maintain highly scalable backend services providing unique CI/CD experiences to support Wixs backend code.

Work as a part of the Bazel OSS community, participate in discussions and workgroups and help shape Bazel itself

As a Frontend Engineer Team Lead in the OS platform, youll be part of creating a platform that allows developers at Wix to build fast, reliable, and consistent back-office pages and deliver a seamless experience to users. In your day-to-day, you will:

Manage a team of experienced frontend developers, including roadmap and vision building, task prioritization, decision-making, and people management

Drive the platforms strategic direction, internally and externally, by defining its vision and identifying opportunities for growth and impact

Work within the team, providing mentorship, advice, and encouraging knowledge sharing with other teams in the group

Design complex platform architecture using a deep technical understanding of both internal and external systems

Provide scalable and widely applicable solutions for both cross-Wix and cross-platform challenges

Work closely with stakeholders across multiple Wix groups to translate requirements into clear, actionable technical plans that align with broader business goals

Note: This is a temporary position for 6-9 months.

As a UX Writer, you'll play a crucial role in crafting the user experience and creating clear and compelling copy that guides and engages our users at every touchpoint.

In this role, you will:

Write clear, creative UX content in the Wix tone and voice

Own every stage of the content cycle, from brainstorming on initial wireframes to shipping perfect copy

Build upon and help maintain adherence to our style guide

Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, UX Designers and other stakeholders

Work with other writing groups including Marketing and Knowledge Base to ensure a consistent user experience

Conduct product and user research

Coordinate localization efforts to ensure efficient and successful localization for our global audience (20 languages and counting)

Juggle multiple projects at once, while prioritizing your tasks and meeting tight deadlines

As a Team Lead in the Wix Services team, youll be responsible for leading a team of developers, driving technical decisions, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions. In your day-to-day, youll:

Lead and mentor a team of talented engineers
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define and prioritize project requirements
Supervise the development and implementation of scalable, high-performance software solutions
Ensure that code quality, performance, and security standards are met, while identify and addressing any technical challenges and bottlenecks
Continuously improve development processes and your teams performance
