Responsibilities
Build quality features that enrich Filestore's offering to customers.
Design, implement, test, integrate, coordinate, lead, communicate, and launch deliverables.
Conduct design reviews and code reviews, and collaborate with colleagues inside and outside the team to help make things happen together.
Help Filestore achieve compliance with various regulated requirements.
Initiate and identify areas for product improvement and work with stakeholders to get them staffed.

Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) combines software and systems engineering to build and run large-scale, massively distributed, fault-tolerant systems. SRE ensures that Google Cloud's servicesboth our internally critical and our externally-visible systemshave reliability, uptime appropriate to customer's needs and a fast rate of improvement. Additionally SREs will keep an ever-watchful eye on our systems capacity and performance.

Much of our software development focuses on optimizing existing systems, building infrastructure and eliminating work through automation. Responsibilities
Improve the life-cycle of services from inception and design, through deployment, operation, and refinement.
Manage support services before they go live through activities such as system design consulting, developing software platforms and frameworks, capacity planning, and launch reviews.
Provide guidance to other team members on managing availability and performance of mission critical services, on building automation to prevent problem recurrence, and on building automated responses for non-exceptional service conditions.
Maintain services once they are live by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health, and lead sustainable incident response.
Scale systems sustainably through mechanisms like automation and evolve systems by driving changes that improve reliability and velocity.

In this role, you will work with system teams and the CPU Architecture team to develop an understanding of the CPU, System on a Chip (SoC), performance metrics, benchmarks/measuring tools, and available optimization knobs. You will define methods and technologies to model CPU performance at different accuracy levels by supporting architectural explorations and decision-making. You will correlate performance projections with measured post-silicon data.The ML, Systems, & Cloud AI (MSCA) organization at Google designs, implements, and manages the hardware, software, machine learning, and systems infrastructure for all Google services (Search, YouTube, etc.) and Google Cloud. Our end users are Googlers, Cloud customers and the billions of people who use Google services around the world.

Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve Central Processing Unit (CPU) software modeling and other software tools.
Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
Collaborate with hardware and software CPU architecture teams, SOC performance modeling team, and other Google Software teams.
